A quick update from Pete on upcoming entertainments.
In 2026 and for the first time, we will be presenting a Cliff Richard live tribute show……………dates to be advised on that in the next few days and later in 2026, The brilliant Beached Boys will be making a return with their two part show dedicated to the famous Beach Boys tunes and then dancefloor filling classics from the 60’s and 70’s.
Back to the present then and next up for our live shows are that brilliant duo ECLIPSE. They are back with their high energy 60’s show on Saturday 30th August and tickets are now on sale for that one. Members £10, Guests £15.
Its private parties at the club for the next two Saturdays but members are always welcome. Don’t forget your Thursday night bingo on July 24th and then the monthly cash quiz with Hannah and Megan on Friday July 25th.
And finally for this part – Friday 1st August is the next singalong movie and Karaoke event hosted by Donna, Fran and Warren – GREASE is most definitely the word and you can find all the details on the club noticeboards.
Monday lunchtimes – the club will be closed and will open now at 7pm on Monday evenings.
Friday lunchtimes – The club will now open later than before – doors now open at 2.30pm friday afternoon and remain open until 11.30pm
There is currently no change to Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday lunchtimes.
The date has now been set for the “BEATLES, STONES AND JONES ” night with DJ Pete B. The club will be decked out as we did with the ABBA night and we welcome 60’s fancy dress for this one. The date is Saturday 6th September – it’s just £3 for members and £5 for guests and all profits from the evening will go to MacMillan as September is our fundraising month for this particular cause.
On that note, a reminder that our legendary MacMillan weekend runs from Friday 26th September to Sunday 28th September. More details nearer the time. Its usually the best weekend of the year at the club!
