Evening all. Quick update on what coming up.
Many thanks to all who came along on saturday evening to another great night with Eclipse and their 60’s show. Always a good fun night and they will be back in 2027 with their all-in show featuring the 60’s/70’s/80’s.
DJ Pete returns after a five week break this Saturday 17th October from 8pm (and Saturday 24th) for all the usual fun and banter! Pop the question, cash raffle and great tunes.
A reminder that this months quiz night takes place on Friday 23rd October.
Onto Friday 30th October and its a Warren/Donna/Fran special – Halloween Karaoke and Disco Night. Fancy dress is very much encouraged with a prize for best dressed – fish and chip supper also available to all who pre-book for this one. Tickets are £8 for members, £10 for guests and just a fiver for the kids. Please see Donna or Fran to get booked in. You can send your booking request to donlady@hotmail.co.uk.
24 hours later on Saturday 31st we are back with more live music as the Midnight River Band return with classic tunes from the 60’s, 70’s and 80’s. Members £7 and guests £10. Please contact Pete in the usual ways to secure reserved seating for this event.

Its Remembrance Sunday on 8th November and as always, Paul Morriss will be managing things so if you have time to volunteer on that morning from 9.30 until midday, please do get in touch.
Saturday November 21st is for me one of the best shows of the year! Its the final live show of 2026 and it is the multi talented Triple Cream – their Chas n Dave set gets the evening under way, the middle part is their highly entertaining comedy set with audience participation and then they round off the evening with some dancefloor goodies. These guys are still touring to the theatres with their Chas n Dave tribute show – dont miss this chance to see them as they wont be back in 2027. Members £10, Guests £15. Just a day later on Sunday November 22nd sees our first Craft Fair featuring local artisans with handmade goods. Several tables are already reserved and if you want to be part of it, please contact Teresa Lanchester to reserve your own table and sell some of your creations. It is just £10 a table.

Finally, just to let you know – the christmas squares are now on sale. Last year the prize fund was over £1500 and we gave out over 45 prizes; again we will be paying out lots of cash envelopes plus some great other goodies. Its £1 a square and you can buy anytime during opening hours. As always, you can choose your own numbers from the first 500 but once we go to sheet two, then it’s all in numerical order.
