Remembrance Sunday 2019

For those of you who would like to attend in the Remembrance Day service this Sunday, here are the current plans for the morning.

The parade will gather at the Royal British Legion building at the corner of Matham Road and St Marys Road at 10:00am for a departure time of 10:10 am. The parade will then follow Walton Road towards the War Memorial. A temporary road closure will be in place from approximately 9:50am to allow the parade to form, meaning no traffic will be able to pass along Walton Road for the duration of the march to the war memorial. Walton Road will remain closed in both directions between New Road and Mole Place for the duration of the service.

The parade will reform at approximately 11:20am and march back to the Royal British Legion building. Again, traffic will be restricted along Walton road for the duration of the return journey.

Tea and Coffee will be available at the club before the parade departure and hot food will be available on returning from the service. Everyone of course is welcome to join us after the parade back at the club.

We would appreciate if local residents could possibly refrain from driving via Walton Road between the hours of 10am and 12 noon if at all possible.
