Thank you to all who joined in the amazingly successful MacMillan Sunday Brunch. It was brilliantly organisedby Emily and her team including auctioneer and raffle draw king Chris with his sidekicks Lyn and Julie; then there’s the kitchen team who dished up some great breakfasts including Donna, Fran, Jess, Issy, Coby – not forgetting Laura who worked tirelessly with the raffle sales and more.
Others pitched in to do their bit too including Pete the “Gas Engineer” so if I missed anyone, please accept my genuine apologies.
So many people contributed to a fantastic Macmillan day and over £800 was raised, a figure for Emily and everybody else to be extremely proud of.
There’s no standing still at the club right now – so much happening over the next three months and the next big show is on Sat 13th October when Delvis returns to the “legion live” stage with his brilliant range of hits from Elvis himself and of course the likes of Billy Fury and Roy Orbison. There are still some tickets available (reserved seating or standing) – £8 for members, £10 for guests and food is included.
