We just wanted to update everyone on the plans for Remembrance Day this coming Sunday, 12th November.
The Parade will depart from outside Molesey Royal British Legion on St Marys Road at around 10.10am. As usual there will be a rolling road closure for side access roads as it moves down Walton Road to the memorial. Walton Road will be closed from New Road onwards at the point the Parade leaves the Legion, meaning traffic will need to go down New Road onto the Hurst Road to bypass the Service.
Traffic will also need to travel down Arnison Road from 10.05am whilst the parade forms up to leave the Legion, this road block will be removed once the Parade has left but please bear in mind any traffic will have to remain behind the parade as it progresses or find an alternative route via the side roads.
The Arnison Road road closure will be reintroduced just before the Parade leaves the memorial on the return to the Legion at about 11.20.
At the memorial, please do your best to keep back from the entrance gates as those involved in the service will be entering through that gate and would appreciate some distance whilst doing so.
This year you will also see some QR codes available on various lamposts and most traffic volunteers will have one available to donate. We appreciate not everyone carries cash these days, so if you would like to donate digitally, the QR code will take you straight to the Royal British Legion donation page.
As always, we appreciate your consideration and hope to see you all there on the day.
