Hi everyone. Just a reminder that this year Remembrance Day falls on Sunday 8th November, which is this coming Sunday. As usual, and subject to all the correct permissions being in place, there will be a road closure along Walton Road for the parade and service. Please be aware that sections of Walton road will be closed from approx 10am, until the parade has returned back along the route at approximately 11:30am after the service. We appreciate your consideration and patience for the disruption to traffic.
The closure will be from the junction at New Road by the war memorial, to the junction at Hansler grove by the Royal British Legion Molesey club. There will be traffic marshalls and a diversion in place along the route, and there will be no access to Walton Road until the parade reaches the memorial.We can then reopen the section from the Mole Place at the football club to Hansler Grove for the duration of the service. The full length of the parade route will then be closed again as the parade returns to the club after the service at approximately 11:30am. We of course, aim to minimise any disruption, and will reopen the road as soon as is possible and safe to do so. The section from New Road to the football club will be closed for the entire duration of the service.
As always, we hope for a large community turn out, so please join us at the memorial for the service which will start at approximately 10:20am. We also welcome anyone to return to the club afterwards, where the bar will be open and tea and coffee available.
