Firstly, happy new year to everybody and our best wishes to all members who have been unwell over the past few weeks.
Sorry to those that had to miss the New Years Eve party – get well everybody, spring will be here soon.
Our first major event of the year is just under 3 weeks away – our first race night of 2025 raising funds to maintain members price subsidies for all the years live shows but also donating 50% of the net proceeds to another charity chosen by you. As before, those attending will get a ticket entry to nominate their chosen charity and the winning charity will enjoy those proceeds courtesy of yourselves.
Horses are now for sale at £5 each (winning owners receive £20) and we are looking for race sponsors. We already have two races sponsored and we had a few different sponsors at our previous race night so it would be good to have some new names again. Race sponsorship is £35 and all horse owners/sponsors will of course be featured in the programme booklet for the evening. So make a date – Saturday 25th January.
Before then we have the return of your cash bingo this Thursday 9th January and then it’s DJ Pete B with a couple of Saturday night sessions featuring Pop the Question and the cash raffle – lots of chances to win cash prizes and your Saturday evenings start at 8pm on Saturday 11th and Saturday 18th January.
The monthly cash quiz returns with Chrissie on Friday 31st January so why not come and join us? £2 per player and it all starts around 8.15pm.
Finally for today, our first live show of the year is on Saturday 1st February when another new band, The Midnight River Band will be appearing. Tickets for this one are £5 members and £7 for guests – book now if you wish to have reserved seating.

Saturday 25th January – the first race night of the year raising money for entertainments and for a chosen charity.
Saturday 1st February – A new band for us – The Midnight River Band will be playing live with great covers from the 60’s, 70’s, 80’s and more. £5 members, £7 guests. Book now for reserved seats.
Friday 21st February – The Greatest Showman movie Karaoke singalong show – burgers, hot dogs, popcorn. Members £8, guests £10. See Fran or Donna for details.
Saturday 15th March – The return of the amazing Ultimate Everlys and their alter ego, the fantastic entertainers Tricks of the Trade. Tickets on sale 1st February. £10 members, £15 guests.
Saturday 26th April – The Harvey Baker Band live
Saturday 24th May – Forget Abba tribute bands – this is the real thing. DJ Pete B will be hosting a whole evening of Abba. It will be a ticketed event raising money for MacMillan and we will be asking you to put on your best fancy dress! We will also be doing food for this event. More details to follow but make a date.
Friday 20th June – Top of the Pops live is back again for a great friday night party – see noticeboard in club.
Saturday 12th July – I dont need to say too much here – by popular demand, Delvis is back to entertain you once again.
Saturday 30th August – The return of the amazing duo Eclipse – they sold out in 2024 so put this one in your diary.
Saturday 20th September – The Midnight River Band are back again for another live session.
Friday 26th September – The regular monthly quiz night and we will be raising funds for our MacMillan weekend fundraiser.
Saturday 27th September – Its the middle of our MacMillan weekender with the fundraising Race Night for MacMillan Nurses.
Sunday 28th September – The MacMillan breakfast, raffle and auction day. One of the clubs best days of the year.
Saturday 18th October – The return of the brilliantly talented and highly amusing Triple Cream. Dont miss out in 2025 on these fabulous entertainers.
Saturday 15th November – After this weekends great night, the TOTP show will be back once more – This will sell out so dont miss it
